Christmas Gift Guide – Over $50

Welcome back for the final instalment of the Christmas Gift Guide – the $50+ list. I realize that’s a rather ambiguous amount as this could mean a $75 item or something that’s $900. I’ve capped the higher end at around $130 because that seems like a reasonable amount without getting overly extravagant and the purpose of this gift guide is to keep things relatively affordable. Also several of the non beauty items are currently on sale, hurray!!

Burberry Complete Eye Palette (Smokey Brown shown) $64

Burberry eyeshadows are super nice to apply, they just go on so buttery smooth and are very blendable. One of my favourite brands for eyeshadow as far as quality goes and a decent amount of product for the price as well. Available at Sephora stores and online here:

Tata Harper Luminous Glow Collection $75

A great little introductory kit to Tata Harper products. Individually this brand’s products are on the pricer side but I have to say based on what I’ve tried so far, well worth the money. 100% natural and non toxic ingredients, this would make a fantastic gift for anyone who is into skin care.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit $95

The perfect all in one face set. This includes a powder, bronzer, two blushes and a highlighter. Hourglass powder products are very finely pressed and although they provide a nice amount of glow to the skin, it is quite a subtle finish so you don’t have to worry about looking like a unicorn barfed glitter all over your face.

Sunday Riley #SquadGoals Skincare Essentials $110

Sunday Riley, another great skincare line! I’ve tried four different products from this line and really liked all of them. I did notice a difference in my skin especially using the Tidal Cream. I found my skin to look more plump, hydrated and just more glowy in general. The Luna Night Oil and Good Genes Treatment are also both very nice products. I haven’t tried the Ceramic Slip Cleanser but based on everything else, I can’t see this being a bad buy. This set are the four best sellers in the line.

All Saints Kita Japanese Wallet $130

I bought this one on my trip to England recently and I love this more and more. It’s the perfect size and fits a decent amount of cards/cash/receipts etc. without looking like a mom wallet. There are some other variations and colours in this line as well and they all look very sleek and stylish. Now for the good and bad news – this exact style and colour no longer appears to be available online so you may only be able to get this in store and there are only 4 locations in Canada so I do apologize if this isn’t accessible to you. Now for the good news, the smaller version is available online and a similar sized one without the fold over buckle is also available….and they are on sale! The larger one is now $96 and the smaller one is $75.

Crosley X UO Record Player $99

Something any music lover would appreciate, this vintage inspired record player. Currently receive an additional 20% online now! Available at Urban Outfitters and online here:

Kobo Aura $129.99 – On sale for $109.99

For book lovers, the Kobo Aura can hold up to 3000 ebooks. Light weight and portable with a light for night reading. I got a Kobo for Christmas last year and love it! I’ve always liked paper books so wasn’t sure how much I’d like an e-reader but it’s been great and so easy to carry around in my bag. Available at Indigo stores and online here:

Fuji Instax Polaroid Camera $99.95 – On sale $79.95

A great gift for kids or adults! A nice change from the typical digital photo that everyone normally takes with their phone these days. The film can be expensive, I’ve found Amazon to be the most reasonable for buying film so you may want to check that out for refills. Available at Indigo stores or online here:

I hope you have found this gift guide useful and let me know in the comments below if you like everything in three price categories or if you prefer gift guides split out by person (sister, dad, teens etc.). Happy shopping!
