The Custom Lipstick Experience

Bite Lip Lab TO.001

So I finally went to the Bite Lip Lab to do the custom lipstick creation. In my previous post about the lip lab I had mentioned that I didn’t really want to pay that much for one lipstick especially seeing as there is no shortage to my lipstick hoarding….but also mentioned that it would make a great gift. Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal & Biotin Dry Shampoo

This one is a total game changer! Let’s start with the packaging – pure genius. I’ve tried dry shampoos before that come in a little container and you pour the powder into your hand and then massage into your roots. It always ends in a big white powdery mess everywhere. There’s never been an efficient way to apply this style of dry shampoo…..until now. This one actually has a small nozzle that you point towards the roots of your hair and then gently squeeze. It doesn’t dispense too much but just the right amount. You then leave it for a couple of minutes before brushing through.  Continue reading “Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal & Biotin Dry Shampoo”

Crate 61

Crate 61: a super cool organic brand that started in small batches from the founder’s kitchen right here in Toronto and now ships world wide. All natural and everything smells so yummy!

If you love gourmand scents then check out the lip balms because they are so true to the described smell, you’ll want to eat them….they are that good! The Almond scent smells exactly like an almond croissant while the Vanilla Bean scent smells like a warm and creamy creme brulee dessert.  Continue reading “Crate 61”

The Detox Market

One of my absolute favourite places to find beauty products is at The Detox Market. The Detox Market originally started as a pop up store and eventually went on to open four permanent locations; two in California and two here in Toronto. The store carries a whole slew of organic, clean and green products from well known brands including Indie Lee, Briogeo, RMS Beauty and Tata Harper as well as several brands that you may not have heard about yet. With beauty trending towards less toxic ingredients and cleaner/greener brands gaining more popularity, there are so many more choices vs. even five years ago.

Here are a few of my favourite staple brands: Continue reading “The Detox Market”
