Christmas Gift Guide – Over $50

Welcome back for the final instalment of the Christmas Gift Guide – the $50+ list. I realize that’s a rather ambiguous amount as this could mean a $75 item or something that’s $900. I’ve capped the higher end at around $130 because¬†that seems like a reasonable amount without getting overly extravagant and the purpose of this gift guide is to keep things relatively affordable. Also several of the non beauty items are currently on sale, hurray!! Continue reading “Christmas Gift Guide – Over $50”

Christmas Gift Guide – $20-$50

Welcome back to the Christmas Gift Guide, today we are taking a look at the $20-$50 price range. The¬†nice thing about gift sets is that you have the option to part some of the items out and use them for stocking stuffers or just as a smaller gift. Like the below set for example, you could easily split this into 2 smaller gifts of 1 cream + lip conditioner per person. Or if you have a shopping problem and tend to buy Christmas gifts as one for you, one for me then this might suit you well….not that I know anyone like that. Some Random Beauty Bits

Something I’ve had on my beauty wishlist for a long time is the By Terry¬†Baume de Rose. It’s a highly conditioning lip balm with a beautiful rose scent. I don’t think it was actually available in Canada until recently when Saks Fifth Avenue¬†opened and they are now carrying the brand. I was very on the fence about buying it though because the 0.35oz jar costs $76 CAD. The lipgloss style tube format costs $67 CAD, it’s hard to justify paying that much for a lip balm. I decided to have a look for it in England to see if it was any cheaper in price. Continue reading “Some Random Beauty Bits”

Boots/Superdrug Haul Part 2

Welcome back for Part 2 of my wild shopping excursion to Boots and Superdrug. Let’s dive back in shall we?

I found this really cute makeup bag at Boots which reminds me of Lulu Guinness. It’s a decently sized canvas bag which is perfect for holding my makeup (and will even fit the Estee Edit’s giant bronzer!). Continue reading “Boots/Superdrug Haul Part 2”

Boots/Superdrug Haul

As soon as we arrived in London, I stopped at Boots and Superdrug to pick up toiletries for the trip. I don’t bother bringing these things because it saves space in luggage (and gives me an excuse to go and poke around Boots, haha). Continue reading “Boots/Superdrug Haul”

Liberty London

One of my absolute favourite places to visit in London is Liberty. It’s an old world luxury goods department store. I say old world because it still has a habadashery department (and for those asking what habadashery is….exactly!). Liberty has a Tudor facade with the freshest, most beautiful flower display outside. Continue reading “Liberty London”
