I’ve been working with Influenster as their Canadian Guest Editor and writing some articles. Not all are beauty related which is why I don’t always post about them here on the blog however my most recent article is all about amazing beauty finds at The Bay.
Has anyone been to The Bay’s beauty counter lately? They’ve really revamped the brands and refreshed their look and I’ve been loving the shopping experience especially at the Beauty Underground section at the Queen Street store. Check out how cool it looks

I’ve decided to challenge myself for a month and switch over to using more clean products that are better for you. Perhaps not the most glamorous or luxurious beauty routine but I’ve decided that if I could even find one or two products that are cleaner and work well then I’d like to switch over on a regular basis. It’s also an opportunity to explore some products that I wouldn’t typically try. Continue reading “The ‘Cleaner’ Product Challenge and My New App Addiction”
Happy New Year everyone! What better way to start 2017 than by having a quick recap of the Top 10 most used products of 2016, so let’s get to it. Here are my top 10…. Continue reading “Top 10 of 2016”
Hope you all enjoyed some time off over the holidays! Food, drinks, time with friends/family and maybe some good Boxing Day deals? I’ve been spending time with family and enjoying Poppy’s first Christmas so haven’t really given a lot of thought to getting out to do any Boxing Day (which has turned into boxing week) shopping but I did notice that there were several websites with some great discounted beauty items. Sephora had several $15 specials on boxing day, MAC had up to 40% off on certain sets and limited edition releases, Hudson’s Bay and Bobbi Brown also had deeply discounted items. Some of them are still going so you may want to take advantage now before things run out.
And now that the excitement of Christmas has died down, it’s time to get ready to ring in 2017. New Year’s Eve is coming up fast and it’s always fun to get dressed up and put on a glitzy outfit and some glam makeup for the night.
Here are four different makeup look ideas across various price ranges to help you ring in the new year: Continue reading “New Year’s Eve Glam Makeup – 4 Looks”
Some very exciting products being launched over the next couple of weeks! Here’s what’s coming soon to a Sephora store near you 🙂
Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection
If the Peach blush looks familiar that’s because it’s a relaunch of a product that used to be part of the Too Faced line. Many of us are super excited to see this again!! They have brought it back along with some new peachy companions. Continue reading “New Beauty Product Launches”
Welcome back to the Christmas Gift Guide, today we are taking a look at the $20-$50 price range. The nice thing about gift sets is that you have the option to part some of the items out and use them for stocking stuffers or just as a smaller gift. Like the below set for example, you could easily split this into 2 smaller gifts of 1 cream + lip conditioner per person. Or if you have a shopping problem and tend to buy Christmas gifts as one for you, one for me then this might suit you well….not that I know anyone like that. Something I’ve had on my beauty wishlist for a long time is the By Terry Baume de Rose. It’s a highly conditioning lip balm with a beautiful rose scent. I don’t think it was actually available in Canada until recently when Saks Fifth Avenue opened and they are now carrying the brand. I was very on the fence about buying it though because the 0.35oz jar costs $76 CAD. The lipgloss style tube format costs $67 CAD, it’s hard to justify paying that much for a lip balm. I decided to have a look for it in England to see if it was any cheaper in price. Continue reading “Some Random Beauty Bits”
Welcome back for Part 2 of my wild shopping excursion to Boots and Superdrug. Let’s dive back in shall we?
I found this really cute makeup bag at Boots which reminds me of Lulu Guinness. It’s a decently sized canvas bag which is perfect for holding my makeup (and will even fit the Estee Edit’s giant bronzer!). Continue reading “Boots/Superdrug Haul Part 2”
As soon as we arrived in London, I stopped at Boots and Superdrug to pick up toiletries for the trip. I don’t bother bringing these things because it saves space in luggage (and gives me an excuse to go and poke around Boots, haha). Continue reading “Boots/Superdrug Haul”
